Kevin attended Seaforth TAFE between 1979 to 1980 studying painting, life drawing, colour and design, photography and art history In 1995 he studied at the School of Creative Arts Kevin has worked as a professional artist for more than 25 years. He works mainly in pastels, a medium he finds very “forgiving” with texture and softness that brings life to the subjects. Kevin also combines watercolour with some of his work to enhance the effects of the pastel and give it even more depth. His unique work is easily recognisable for the use of a very soft colour scheme as well as a touch of romanticism and drama. Kevin’s subjects vary from skyscapes to wildlife, marine and coastal vistas. Kevin wants events or legends, taken the viewer to a different time and space.

A major influence in Kevin’s artistic development was his time as artist in residence at Henning International Galleries in Balmain between 1990 to 1995, where he participated in 22 exhibitions with other resident artists such as Pro Hart and Ken Duncan. His works were sold to a number of famous homes. Buyers included the daughter of Russel Drysdale and family as well as the Federal MP Brain Cadman. Since 1995 Kevin has exhibited in numerous local and state exhibitions.
