WHAT IS A FLAT TIN FIGURINE ?

The flat tin figurine "Zinnfiguren"was first maunfactured in Germany in the 19th century which were cast from slate moulds. Though they exist in different sizes, most (95%) of them are 30mm high (eye-level of man on foot) and about 2mm thick. 

They range in "scales" 20 mm, 40mm though in the 20th century larger scales were produced up to 90mm. and  depict mainly themes from art,personalities literature history,and there exists over 100,000 figures today and have become collectable as works of art in there own right .
